Eluru: Dadasaheb Phalke awardee and well-known film director Kasinadhuni Viswanath said The movies he had directed had enhanced his life span. He was speaking at a felicitation programme organised by Eluru city Brahmana Aikya Karyacharana Samiti here on Monday.
Viswanath said the films like Shankarabharanam, Subhalekha, Swati Mutyam and Swathi Kiranaalu have enhanced his life span. “I came here as I had closeness with Eluru for over four decades. I am a good friend to Alapati Ramachandra Rao, the founder of Ambica Agarbathi. Now the flower-petals, garland have again enhanced my lifespan for some more days,” he said. He called on the people to unite for the development of the society.
Eluru MLA Badeti Bujji, Sneham Association president Ambica Raja, Usha Group of Companies proprietor Usha Balakrishna Rao, YMHA Trust Board president Venu Gopal Lunani, Brahmana Samakhya leaders felicitated the director. Later, Viswanath gave away mementos to two Brahmin students who got 10 GPA in Class X examinations.
Brahmin JAC leaders Dronamraju Venkata Ramana, Satyawada Durga Prasad, K Krishnacharyulu, Brahmana Samakhya state vice-president MBS Sarma and others participated in the felicitation programme.K Viswanath came to Eluru to inaugurate a new branch of Ramraj Cotton, a cloth shop for which he was the brand ambassador.
